Funeral services for Bobbie Jean (Whitten) Hudson, 88, of Skiatook, were held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Dr. Curtis Linton officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Casket bearers were T.J. Hudson, Cameron Hudson, Casey Paulk, Matt Richardson, Braden Richardson and Justin Jones. Honorary casket bearers were Sam Whitten, Charles Whitten, Eddie Whitten, Lloyd Wayne Hudson, Jimmy Hardesty and Keith Morgan.
Bobbie was born September 6, 1929 in Wagoner, OK to Thomas Oscar and Mary R. (Bollinger) Whitten. She passed away May 15, 2018 in Tulsa, OK.
She was primarily a housewife who worked at Cherokee School as a cook while her boys were there in school. Bobbie retired from the Zebco Corporation. She was a charter member of Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church. She loved serving others, playing the piano, singing and going to singings, the Lord, her family, and cooking. Bobbie and Floyd were song leaders and pianists at their church. She loved to cook and always made every ones favorite dish and dessert. Her renowned dessert is Jessie Pie.
She is survived by her sons, Floyd Hudson Jr. and wife Leanne of Tulsa, and Tommy Hudson and wife Wylene of Skiatook; grandchildren, Christi and Matt, Cara and Casey, Shelli and Justin, TJ and Heather, and Katherine and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Mallori, Cameron, Braden, Hailey, Jessica, Miriam, Carley, Hannah and Cambrey; brothers, Sam Whitten, Charles Whitten, and Eddie Whitten; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Hudson, Sr.; daughter, Dianna; granddaughter, Andrea; sisters, Pauline and Provanah; and parents, Tom and Mary Whitten.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
