Billy Harold Palmer

Funeral services for Billy Harold Palmer, 71, of Tulsa, OK, were held Friday, June 14, 2024, at Christ Gospel Church in Tulsa, OK. Reverend Jerry Woodall and Reverend Don Phillips officiated, and burial was in Garland Cemetery in Stigler, OK. Casket bearers were Dalton Porter, Colton Porter, Payton Porter, Lowell Porter, Bradlee Palmer, Richard Harris, Nikolas Harris, and Richard Harris, III. Honorary Casket bearers were Richard Palmer and Terry Palmer.

Billy was born September 25, 1952, in Stigler, OK to Billie Eugene Palmer and Wanda Lee (McGuire) Palmer. He passed away June 9, 2024, in Tulsa, OK.

Billy graduated from Central High School with the class of 1972. He worked for a few different places during his lifetime, such as the Methodist Manor in the kitchen, as a machinist at Air X-Changers for about 15 years, as a line worker for OK Foods for a number of years, and he went on to retire from Wal-Mart where he worked as a custodian for several years. During his free time, Billy enjoyed being outdoors, watching various sporting events, especially football. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Jill Porter and husband, Lowell; son, Bradlee Palmer and partner, Jason; grandchildren, Dalton Porter and wife, Paige, Colton Porter and wife, Lexi, Megan Porter and Shay Palmer, Payton Porter, and Tobias Palmer; great-grandchildren, Colt, Heidi, Lucas, Ember, Dawson, Edynn and Caden; sister, Cindy Harris and husband, Richard; brother, Terry Palmer and wife, Donna; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Wanda Palmer; and brother, Richard Palmer.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
