Betty Jo Smith

Memorial services for Betty Jo (Prim) Smith, 88, of Sperry, OK, were held Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Reverend Jerry Harper officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Joey Smith, Gerald Smith, Troy Grose, David Reynolds, Justin Rose, Joseph Smith, Chriss Walker, Dalton Hansen, Jordan Reynolds and Tory Grose.

Betty was born January 5, 1931 in Fox AR, to Thomas Prim and Willie Mae (Richardson) Duncan. She passed away June 7, 2019 in Sperry, OK.

Betty retired from Bovaird Oil Supply after 42 years as an Accounts Payable supervisor. She then became a greeter for Wal-Mart. Betty attended St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Owasso. Betty loved her dogs and her chickens and was able to tame any chicken she came across. She also enjoyed plants and flowers and taking care of her garden. Betty loved spending time with her grandbabies, great-grandbabies and great-great-grandbabies.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Joey Smith and wife, Andrea, Anna Grose and husband, Troy, Gerald Smith and wife, Michele, David Smith and wife, Cherie, and Jackie Carroll; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jennifer, Chriss, Shelby, Dalton, Alicia, David, Jordan, Tory, Samantha, Miranda, Justin, Travis and Perry; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Smith; sons, Joey L. Smith and Billy D. Smith; brother, Edward Prim; sister, Linda; mother, Willie Duncan; and father, Ralph Duncan.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
