Funeral services for Benjamin Wayne Dawson, 47, of Tulsa, OK, were held Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. John Shaw officiated and burial was in Harris Family Cemetery in Tulsa, OK. Casket bearers were Arlo Turner, Mike Cinko, Nathan Turner, Steve Robinson II, Max King, and Thomas Kays.

Benjamin was born June 24, 1978, in Claremore, OK, to Gary Wayne Dawson and Gloria Harris. He passed away November 4, 2025, in Tulsa, OK.

Benjamin graduated from Sperry High School and was the senior class president. He then attended Tulsa Community College with an English major. He started out his working career installing home alarm systems, then moved on to be a game tech at the casinos. Unfortunately, Benjamin was in an accident that left him paraplegic, so he spent his time talking with his mom and enjoying playing various games like Monopoly, Scrabble, and Garden Scapes on his phone with her. Benjamin had a great loving personality, a huge heart, and laughed a lot, even after becoming paralyzed. He had a beautiful spirit, smile, and handsome looks. He always stayed determined and always had big plans for his recovery. He was very intelligent like his mother. He loved spending time with all of his cousins, other family, and his friends. Benjamin always welcomed people to a place to stay as well as his sister, who would become his caretaker.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria Harris; sister, Sunny Dawson; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Dawson; and grandmother, Cecelia Harris.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
