Funeral services for Benjamin Carl ”Benny” Brown, 83, of Ramona, OK, were held Friday, February 14, 2025, at Community of Christ Church in Sperry, OK. Mike Regier officiated, and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Honorary casket bearers were Garrett Brown, Benjamin Rowe, Paul Brown, Mike Regier, Jon Weiser, and Corin McHargue.

Benny was born January 1, 1942, in Sperry, OK, to Benjamin Wood Brown and Iva Myrtle (Hardie) Brown. He passed away February 7, 2025, in Owasso, OK.

A proud Navy veteran, Benny served his country with honor from 1961 to 1965 before being honorably discharged. His deep sense of duty and patriotism remained with him throughout his life. After his military service, Benny dedicated his career to education, working as a high school counselor, teacher, and assistant principal. He touched the lives of countless students, guiding them with wisdom, kindness, and a steadfast belief in their potential. His passion for history was unmatched, and he loved nothing more than sharing stories of the past and engaging in deep discussions about the events that shaped the world. Benny was a believer of Jesus Christ and was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Ramona. In his later years, Benny found joy in the simple things, like spending time on his front porch, enjoying the view, and reflecting on a life well lived. He also cherished his trips to Colorado, where the beauty of the mountains brought him peace and happiness. Benny deeply cherished his family.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Regina Brown of Ramona; daughters, Alison Brown and wife, Pam Hannon, Carla Rowe and husband, Curt; grandchildren, Rachael McHargue and husband, Corin, Emily Weiser and husband, Jon, Paul Brown, Garrett Brown and wife, Shelby, Jarred Brown, and Benjamin Rowe; great-grandchildren, Everett Weiser, Anna Weiser, Bennett Weiser, Ava Brown, and Lila Brown; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Brown; parents, Ben and Iva Brown; and brothers, Ray Brown and Melvin Brown.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
