Annabelle, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born March 28, 1938, in Lindsay, OK, to Charley Lester Henry and Jessie Irene (Hunter) Henry. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on March 13, 2023, in Skiatook, OK.

Annabelle was a devoted wife to her husband of 68 years, Gloyd Shockley. They met in Lindsay, OK and were married in 1954. Together, they raised five children and were blessed with 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. During her working years, Annabelle was employed as a records clerk in the oil industry, but her legacy is as a homemaker. She attended her children’s sporting events and never missed an opportunity to offer a listening ear, a warm hug, and words of encouragement as her family grew. The Shockley home was known as a place full of love and compassion not only for her children but their friends. In retirement, Annabelle was an active member of her community, volunteering at her church, the Skiatook Church of Christ, the West Oak Village, and local VFW Post 7977 Women’s Auxiliary. She was a lover of the natural world and centered vacations around camping and exploring national parks, her favorite being Yellowstone. In fair weather, she enjoyed walks in her neighborhood and during the gardening season she could be found watering endless rows of flowers and tomato plants. In the winter, especially around Thanksgiving and Christmas, she could be found leading the family through her neighborhood on pecan picking excursions. Annabelle enjoyed watching professional sports, particularly basketball. From October through April, she was known to curtail her plans to be home to support her Oklahoma City Thunder from her living room.

She is survived by her husband, Gloyd; children, David and wife, Betsy, Dana, Daneen, Dawn and husband, Robert, and Debbie and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Racheal, Dayla, Brennon, Blayne, Eden, Jessie, Hunter, Dylan, and Madison; great-grandchildren, Haylie, Scarlett, Riley, Karter, Emily, Milagros, Sofia, and Marin; siblings, Ellen, Ermalene, Lloyd, Joyce, and Carol; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Jessie and Charley; grandson, Jacob; siblings, Ray and Lois Ann; son-in-law, Joe; and brothers-in-law, Doug and Larry.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
