Anna Lee "Ann" (Dutton) Smith

Funeral services for Anna Lee “Ann” (Dutton) Smith, 81, of Sperry, OK, were held Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phil Johnson officiated. Casket bearers were Drake Blue, Tyler Dowty, Jeremy Younger, Melvin Blue, Jason Swanson, and Irl Vogt.

Ann was born October 27, 1941, in Amarillo, TX, to Lee Dutton and Ethel Lee (Carter) Dutton. She passed away August 5, 2023, in Sperry, OK.

Ann left school after the 8th grade, and at the age of 15 began working at various restaurants as a waitress, to help support her mother in caring for her four younger brothers. She married at an early age and together they had a son. She left waitressing and began working in various roles in housekeeping within a number of banks and hotels. She eventually relocated to Tulsa, where she embarked on a new chapter by enrolling in cosmetology school. And decided to open her own in-home beauty salon, a venture she sustained for several years. Ann later remarried and gave birth to another child. Balancing household responsibilities with her hairstyling skills, she also took on cleaning duties for homes and apartments, all the while intermittently hairdressing in her spare time. Ann later relocated to Sperry to begin another chapter in her life, where she owned and operated the Bank Lounge for two decades, contributing to the community's social fabric. Ann eventually retired and which gave her the opportunity to spend some much-needed quality time with family, going on numerous camping trips, and also going to the casino. Throughout her life, Ann raised five children and numerous grandchildren. She loved everyone and she was loved by everyone she knew and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Nichol Blue, and Deborah McNeill-Vogt; sons, Jerry Younger and Earl Baldwin; grandsons, Jason Swanson, Drake Blue, Tommy McNeill, and Jeremy Younger, Tyler Dowty; granddaughter, Ashley Dowty; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Smith; husband, Donald Remind; husband, Leo Younger; husband, Francis Baldwin; son, Ronnie Younger; granddaughter, Christa McNeill; parents, Lee and Ethel Dutton; and brothers, Ronnie Dutton, Johnny Dutton, and Toby Dutton.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
