Howell Gene Marlnee

September 3, 1936 ~ March 19, 2018 (age 81)

Graveside memorial services for Howell Gene Marlnee, 81, of Broken Arrow, were held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated. Honorary casket bearers were Pat Boyd, David Marlnee, Bill Boyd, Mike Grilley, George Frazier, Anthony Briley and Raymond Rogers.

Howell was born September 3, 1936 in Muskogee, OK to Alford Great and Alice Nina (Frazier) Marlnee. He passed away March 19, 2018 in Broken Arrow, OK.

Howell worked as a janitor for Russell Fleet, a warehouse manager for H&H and as a warehouse manager and truck driver for Swift Trucking. He did his best to overcome hearing loss as a child and supported his family. He enjoyed watching wrestling shows and going fishing. He also liked to go out to eat and critique numerous restaurants in the area and across the country. Howell loved his dogs. He was a professing Christian.

He is survived by his grandson, Kenny Pinkerton and wife Becka of Rexburg, ID; sister, Margaret Boyd of Porter; nephews, Pat Boyd and wife Janelle of Porter, Bill Boyd and wife Sandy of Porter, David Marlnee and wife Tina of Muskogee; niece, Dana Grilley and husband Mike of Oklahoma City; cousins, Lorene Martin of Tulsa, Edith Briley of Tulsa, Francine Cooper of Muskogee, Elizabeth Hendricks of Muskogee, George Frazier of Muskogee, Floyd Cooper of Tahlequah, Robert Cooper of Keefton; sister-in-law, Lesley Marlnee of Broken Arrow; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loma Jean Marlnee; daughter, Helen Gail Pinkerton; brother, Kenneth Marlnee; several aunts and uncles; nephew, Mike Boyd; and parents, Alford and Alice Marlnee.
