Brian Albert Sparling

April 8, 1967 ~ March 12, 2019 (age 51)

Memorial services for Brian Albert Sparling, 51, of Broken Arrow, OK, were held Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Phillip Johnson officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Brian’s children and grandchildren.

Brian was born April 8, 1967 in Montebello, CA to Brian Edward and Pamela Marie (Bise) Sparling. He passed away March 12, 2019 in Broken Arrow, OK.

Brian prided himself on being a hard worker and a good provider. He loved showing his wife all the buildings he helped construct around town. Brian’s favorite hobby was jewelry making. He could either be found doing a crossword puzzle, watching NASCAR races, or in his jewelry room making beautiful pieces for his loved ones. Brian also enjoyed collecting knives.

One of Sherry’s favorite memories was the day that Brian proposed to her. They were walking down the hallway, he stopped her and said, “How about we get married?” That is exactly the kind of man Brian was. Funny but serious in a way that would make you smile.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sherry Sparling of Broken Arrow; son, Bret Sparling of Inola; daughters, Heidi Smith of Tulsa and Amanda Davis of Claremore; grandchildren, Hannah Sanders of Broken Arrow, Savannah Davis of Claremore and Hayden Pingrey of Claremore; sister, Judi Weeks of Stroud; nieces, Stacie Barr of Sapulpa, Shawna Mills of Owasso, Lisa Tipton of Davenport, and Jamie Hill of Broken Arrow; nephew, Danny Barr of Tulsa; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Danny and Barbara Weeks.

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
