B was a second father to my husband and a grandfather children only wish to have. Time with B has been invaluable. Our family was give the grace of a gentle process that took several weeks time to bond more deeply, time for more memories and finally time in those final moments. We have all been blessed beyond measure. His thoughtful words and actions touched all our hearts. I am thankful to God for the gift of his life and we are deeply grateful for the promises of new life beyond death. We love you B and you will be greatly missed. Our hearts are broken but we know we will see you again.

James 1:17 Every good bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow

As I set here and think of what I can say about B, I am overcome with love and memories. His jokes, his kindness, his gentleness, his generosity, he truly was an amazing man. In our family he was an awesome dad, pap-pa wrinkle and just 7 months ago a great grandpa. It brings tears to my eyes to think that Jase won't have memories with him. We will tell Jase all about him and what kind of a grampa he had and how much B's face lit up as he held him for the first time. That moment made my heart smile.
As we set with him at the hospital We kept telling him to fight. That we needed him. That Jase needed him, and he did fight. He fought so hard when I'm sure it would have been easier to give up.
Even though the last 6-8 weeks have been the hardest of our lives to see him in pain, they have also been priceless. The memories, the conversations, the laughs ,the kisses and hugs...the I love you's. We were so blessed to have been able to spend this time with him.
The last words B said to us both is I love you....so I will end this and say we miss you so much B and we love you!

Mike and I are so very sorry for your loss.  I didn't know him personally, but I know he had to be a good man, because Joe and Brian turned out to be such good men.  Our prayers are with you all.  Let not your hearts be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father's house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
John 14: 1-3.
