Memorial services for Glenda Kay (Finney) Quinton, 67, of Tulsa, were held Thursday, October 5, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Sperry, OK. Pastor Adam Stang officiated and burial was in Rest Haven Cemetery in Sperry, OK. Honorary casket bearers were Chris Wallace, Jackie Wallace, Wade Wallace, Dylan Quinton, Jerry Quinton, Michael Quinton, J.R. Finney, Garry Finney, Terry Finney, Lance Finney, Paul Smith, and Jeff Bohnsack.

 

Glenda was born March 26, 1950 in Tahlequah, OK to Perry Eugene Finney and Eula Della (Johnson) Conley. She passed away September 28, 2017 in Tulsa, OK.

 

Glenda was primarily the family caretaker and worked a couple of times outside of the home for American Canvas sewing revival tents and trampolines and also working for Dunkin’ Donuts. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, woodworking, sewing, crocheting, Native American beadwork and working on genealogy research.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Missy Wallace and husband Chris of Turley; son, Jerry Quinton and wife Kay of Broken Arrow; grandchildren, Dylan Quinton, Jackie Wallace, Wade Wallace, Stephanie Merrill and husband Rod of Tulsa; Michael Quinton, and wife Angie; multiple great-grandchildren; great-great-granddaughter, Cynthia Obrock; brothers, J.R. Finney, Garry Finney and Terry Finney; sisters, Linda Finney, Imogene Sanders, Gerldene White and Marleta Finney; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Quinton; daughter, Melinda Quinton; son, Clarence Quinton; parents, Perry Finney and Eula Conley;  mother and father-in-law, Carmen Howell and Edward Quinton; brother, Jimmy Lee Conley; brothers-in-law, Charles Quinton, Wade Quinton, Kenneth Quinton and Robert Quinton; and sisters-in-law, Carmen Dewberry and Ruba “Ted” Kessler .

 

Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
